Happy Vacation!

We made it! We hope you all enjoy your week off, and that you come back ready and rarin' to learn.

We presented our completed science projects, and they were awesome! They get better every single year.

Mrs. Burhite came in to Social Studies to share a very special slide presentation about three famous American presidents. Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, and George Washington. It was wonderful!

In reading, we played a game called "Taboo," that helped us review vocabulary words. It was fun - and challenging!

2/4/10

In science we are getting ready to present our PowerPoint presentations! We will be presenting next Thursday. If you would like to come see your child present their project, please get in touch with Ms. Shane.

In social studies, we studied the War of 8182 and the Indian Removal Act, also called the Trail of Tears. Then we listened to some Penobscot drumming and looked at some Wabanaki artifacts.

In reading, we have been focusing on comparing and contrasting. We read a story about a family who lived on a ship at sea, and compared that to another story about sea travel. Please ask your child about the weekly vocabulary words.

We just finished a unit on fractions and common denominators in math. We will be taking a test on Friday!
