In math, we have been working on solving algebraic equations and graphing. Some parents have said that they are doing this same thing in their college courses! The students are doing a great job learning how to balance the equations and put the information on a graph.
In social studies, we just finished studying the Civil War, and will be celebrating with a Civil War reenactment, put on by a local Bridgton accountant Tom Chandel and a "former fifth-grade mom," Heather Brown. We started reading a Native-American novel together called, "The Birchbark House."
In science, we are studying fossils. You may have seen our picture in the Bridgton News with Professors Digs-A-Lot and Digs-A-Little!
In reading, we are working on Readers Theater, which we will present at our Pride in Our School day on May 21st.
